THE DUBAI CONTEXT

Dubai concentrates a specific set of finance problems. Rent is a large, front-loaded fixed cost, frequently paid in one or two cheques, which makes working capital planning materially harder than in markets with monthly leases. Licensing sits across mainland DED and dozens of free zones with different audit and reporting expectations. Business is often conducted across several entities under one owner, with informal transfers between them that Corporate Tax now examines. And the talent market for finance staff is competitive and expensive, which pushes many growing businesses to outsource rather than build.

The model is designed for Dubai businesses from roughly AED 1 million to AED 150 million of revenue, including restaurant and café groups, professional services firms, trading and distribution companies, e-commerce operators, and founder-led businesses moving from improvised finance to something that scales.

WHERE WE WORK

Across Dubai.

Cloud-based delivery with in-person meetings where they add value. We do not charge for travel within the UAE.

DIFC

Entities under the DIFC regime with its own employment and reporting framework, including DEWS. Financial services firms remain with their regulated advisers; we support the non-regulated finance function.

Business Bay & Downtown

Professional services, agencies, consultancies and F&B — typically multi-entity, VAT-registered, and now navigating their first Corporate Tax filings.

JLT & DMCC

Trading, commodities and services entities where Qualifying Free Zone Person analysis is the live question and audited statements are required for both licence renewal and QFZP status.

Al Quoz & Ras Al Khor

Manufacturing, warehousing, workshops and central kitchens — inventory-heavy, working-capital intensive, and often with the weakest costing data relative to their size.

Deira & Bur Dubai

Established trading businesses, frequently multi-generational, where the accounting was set up decades ago and the structure has never been revisited.

Jebel Ali & JAFZA

Logistics, distribution and re-export, with the free zone qualifying income question and mainland sales de minimis tracking as recurring issues.

DUBAI QUESTIONS

Practical answers.

How much do accounting services cost in Dubai?

Recurring bookkeeping for a small single-entity Dubai business typically starts around AED 1,500 per month. Mid-size businesses with payroll, VAT and higher transaction volumes generally sit between AED 3,000 and AED 8,000. Multi-entity groups and multi-outlet operators are usually AED 8,000 to AED 25,000. We confirm a fixed monthly fee in writing after a scoping call.

Do you work with free zone companies in Dubai?

Yes. Free zone entities have specific obligations under Corporate Tax, including the Qualifying Free Zone Person conditions and the audited financial statement requirement. We prepare the accounting records, the qualifying income analysis and the audit file, and coordinate with an independent licensed audit firm.

Do you need to visit our Dubai office?

Not necessarily. The service is designed to run on cloud accounting, with in-person meetings or on-site work arranged when they materially help the engagement. Clean-ups, system implementations and inventory-heavy businesses may benefit from on-site time early in the scope.

Can you take over from our current accountant?

Yes. The handover process can include reviewing existing records, identifying what needs correcting, agreeing an opening balance sheet, and transferring system access and documentation. We do not comment on a predecessor's work beyond what is factually necessary to establish the position.

How quickly can you start?

Start timing is confirmed after scope, access requirements and current capacity are agreed. Urgent clean-ups ahead of a filing or audit deadline can be prioritized when capacity allows.
